Searching for parents of Edmond B. Chapin, born 17 May 1794 in Fort Ann, Washington, NY.

Question

Edmond died 08 Apr 1874 in Shalersville, Portage, Ohio, USA.  The closest Chapin found buried in Portage county, OH is Lorenzo Chapin who died 14 Mar 1875 in Mantua, Portage, OH.  I'm sure if Edmond is from this family, because of his birthplace, but would appreciate any assistance you can offer.  Thanks.

Gary Chapin, Royal Palm Beach, Florida

Father:  Darius Chapin.  b: 12-11-1756, d: 04-12-1842

Mother:  Margaret Chapin (Beaman).  b: 03-15-1756, d: 08-28-1827

Darius fought at the "second" battle of Saratoga, 1777.  Darius is listed as belonging to Captain Sylvanus Wilcox's company in Colonel John Ashley's Regiment of the militia (1st [South] Berkshire County Regiment).

Edmond was a veteran of the war of 1812.

I have photos of both their gravestones.
