This was an interesting question.
As there was no Louisiana state or colony during the Revolutionary War creating a category for a Veteran from Louisiana wouldn't work. So a little research into the "German Coast" service term was needed, and Wikipedia came to my rescue. There wasn't a category which was acceptable, so I created one, German Coast Militia in Revolutionary War and set it as a sub-category under American Revolution Militia units .
On Pierre Baudoin 's profile I added the 1776 template with the German Coast category included. You should be all set now. :-)
See my comment to Donna Storz below Jacqueline. I also added the DAR template to Amand Pierre Thibodeau 's page.
Actually there already is a category called Louisiana Militia in the American Revolution. See [[Fruge-78|Pierre Antoine Fruge]] where I set up the following categories that are relative: Louisiana Militia in the American Revolution | Galvez Expedition | Battle of Baton Rouge | American Revolution Veterans.
Both Louisiana Militia in the AR and the Galvez Expedition feed out of "Contributions From Areas Other than Original 13 States" which is under "American Revolution"
You probably want to consult with someone specializing in the military tags as to how to work out the differences.
From personal experience, I know the DAR calls my patriots as being from "Spanish Controlled Louisiana"
I didn't see your Louisiana Militia in the American Revolution category Donna, sorry about that. To maybe make it a little easier for others to find I added the Revolutionary Militia units link to it (so it now has both that and the Contributions From Areas Other than Original 13 States links), and I have German Coast Militia in Revolutionary War and Attakapas Militia in Revolutionary War set as sub-categories under the Louisiana one.
