I have inherited this brickwall from my father.

We haven't found any birth record for him, checked probably "all" parishes of Stockholm.

And before Huddinge?
Edeby gård, Lovö, 1844 is the first place he comes to it seems, because there it says he comes from Stockholm.

Lovö kyrkoarkiv, Husförhörslängder, SE/SSA/1532/A I/15 (1841-1845), bildid: C0048092_00180

then my dad has researched the following, but I didn't check the sources for that yet.

worked at Flemmingsbergs säteri from 1849

Fullersta säteri from 1851

Skytteholms gård from 1859

until he bought Gångsätra.
It is hard to believe he grew up in an orphanage, seeing how successful he became - he was not very old when he first got a job as inspector. Perhaps he had some backing from his invisible parents, perhaps he was in a better foster home than an institution would have been...
I've been thinking the same. From illegitimate child to owner of a farm. I really wonder if I can find out more about where he was between his birth and his first farmhand(?) job.

So he arrives alone from the big city at the age of fourteen - that's not hopeful.

Well, here he is. Anonymous birth, unfortunately.

Info about the umbilical cord and the afterbirth. No name for the mother, but she is unmarried, 27 and healthy. Left the maternity ward the 12th, with sufficient lactation.

This is Arkiv Digital, not sure they have Allmänna BB at SVAR

You should ask again at Anbytarforum; there should be people who know about tracing even anonymous births.
Wow, that's so cool that you actually found him! Thank you.

It seems they haven't got Allmänna barnbördshuset from those years at SVAR, their earliest records are from 1847.

Did the mother leave with baby? (I have to get Arkiv Digital I suppose.)
Yes, it sounds like she left with the baby, since they comment about the milk. I wonder if they went to a Barnhus; I think breastfeeding mothers could stay there for a while. I really don't know much about this, just from reading discussions at Anbytarforum.

Re Arkiv Digital, I could upload this image for you.
I did.
Thank you very much! :)
