Rebecca Harcourt Tupper married Edward Manning Downie. They both came from Nova Scotia (Aylesford or Cornwallis).  My sources for this information come from family tradition, their death certificates, the Tupper Genealogy.  They were born in the 1830's and were probably married about or before 1860.  I do not know of any Fales connection. They had a large family and a Fales connection cannot be ruled out.

There is additional information on line at Bill's Blog,

Tupper,Eleanor, PHD,  complied the Tupper Genealogy. It was published about 1976.
