Since you're a new-comer, just a couple of comments.  1. Unless you have a physical problem limiting your typing ability you shouldn't type in all-caps.  2. You'll get better response to your questions if you enter the WikiTree ID for at least one of the profiles you're asking about.  Note there's a line at the bottom of the question allowing you to do this, or you can type it in the main text and let the reader cut and paste it to create an active link.  As it is a person would have to go to your profile (two clicks) go to your tree, find, say, Robert Garland and click on him.  Not real hard, of course, but off-putting if you're reading through the new questions to see what what looks interesting.  And if you're asking about a cousin of some sort you'd have to go to the find surname  page go to Garlands and  find Roberts, etc.  Definitely a "on to the next question"  situation.

1875 New York Census, look at original ,Born March 1833,immigrated

1837 ,4 years old.At 4 years old likely he did no come by himself,

1920 Census Monroe ,New York, his occupation was a Cigar Maker.

One Census says mother and father born Ireland.Seen a Tree, shows father

Robert born 1816 died 1854,He should show up in a 1850 U.S. census

Vermont,Massachusettes or New York if he came with his son.

There could be another issue. When people immigrate from Canada too

United States. His name Peter Issac Garland. But in Quebec Canada his

name could be different.Immigration officials would Americanize names. When he immigrated ,could have come in a Border Crossing.

Or by ship.Land travel was difficult so i would lean by ship.
