im looking for my nans side of the family which i dont no much. Janet came from fife in scotland she had 2 sisters Rita,and Nan they could be nicknames one of the sisters married and Patrick and had  a son called Patrick. i would like to no the parents of Janet..Janets children Margaret and Shelia had a cousin called Margaret and her surname Hall which is her married name. MARGARET, SHELIA AND MARGARET were born in Scotland / Edinbough but moved to England West sussex. . Any help would be great. thank you

Was Melrose her married name or maiden name? What's her birth year? There were several named Janet Melrose who were born in Fife, Scotland. Here are two examples:

sorry i dont replying sooner janet b c melrose born 1913 and married thomas henry pateman in sussex england.  im 90% she was born in scotland.

The bother of second Janet above, James, is my great-great grandfather. She also had a sister called Elizabeth. I have no information on what happend to Elizabeth or if there were other siblings. There are no Margarets or Shelias in that family of James. He moved to Ireland and settled in Dublin. Hope this helps.
