why are some of my unsourced profiles not on the list?

Question

I've knocked about a dozen profiles off my unsourced list this weekend, but I've just noticed that a number of my unsourced profiles don't even appear on this list.

Why is that? Is there a bug?

Can't see her in the full listing either, even though the Wheelers are all on one page

They're in alphanumeric ID order, so she should be immediately before William Everett Wheeler-11515.  Some of her sibs are also missing.

Hi Dennis,

This seems to be a reoccurrence of an old bug where new profiles aren't getting categorized right away. After another save, the categorization "takes." I tested this by editing the profile. Now she appears in the category. We need to investigate.

so, when you find and fix the bug, will it only affect the newly created profiles, or will it also pickup the other existing unlisted profiles, or will those all still need a new edit to trigger the reindex?

I have quite a few more you can test with, but since they're unlisted, I'm not quite sure how to find them :)

I've never added a source to a profile while creating it.  I'd rather do the first save and then go back and add sources if I have them or can find them.  I've never seen the profile not have the unsourced category.  though it usually doesn't last long.  I normally, though, don't go check to see if the profile is on an unsourced list.

It has the category, but its just unlisted. And it has a number of changes associated with it after its first save (though perhaps not direct edits to the profile itself)

Yeah, I've tried adding sources to profiles when first creating them, but there's no formatting control. If I'm going to have to return to reformat them, I'd rather them be automatically added to a list, that I can easily lookup and revisit later. -- but that's a different topic altogether.

Thought it couldn't be that because there were 3 changes logged, but apparently, if you don't change the bio, you don't re-process the bio.

When the page is displayed, I think it just tells you what categories it's supposed to be in, assuming that the previous save worked.
