If I then vote up to correct.  Will my up vote cancel out the down vote?  Or will the down vote still register to the person that answered the question?

Just curious (because it just happened).

Thanx!

I am afraid I have done this a couple of times on my iPhone and it always corrects if you just click it up again.  Everyone makes mistakes but it is kind of you to be concerned!!
Well, I don't really see the point of having down votes.  The absence of votes should convey a similar opinion, without discouraging those who may be concerned.

It should cancel out.

Dale, I think you are correct.  Because I checked my own G2G profile page and it did not register that I gave out a down vote.  So I am hoping the same will go for the person who answered the question.  I can't confirm without knowing how many votes they had to begin with.
