What belief do you have that William Newby married Margaret Gascoingne in 1475? As this is pre 1500 very limited records exist.

William Newby is an ancestor of mine & so many trees on Ancestry & elsewhere say that he married Margaret Gascoigne in 1475 but seeking any proof that anyone might have or clue even. He appears to be a commoner but Margaret was gentry, her father being William Gascoigne.

Many thanks for your help.
