My GGGG grandmother is Susan Burrell Anderson.

According to various sources she was born in 1814 in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of Anthony Anderson and Susan Burrell.   She was the youngest of 10 children.   Around 1818, they moved to Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, where her parents soon died.   She lived afterwards with a sister and in 1833, married James M doty.

From there it's pretty solidly sourced, but what I'm trying to do is find some solid proof, a record or something, of her parents or even a sibling.

All I know is Anthony Anderson was supposedly born in Scotland and her mother Susan burrell was born in either New Jersey or Germany. They died probably between 1818 and 1822.  That's if the information is accurate in the various

Any help would be  appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

I found this source, which is a record for her daughter's marriage.  It lists some information at least!

Susan Anderson in entry for H. J. Mcmanus and Jerusha J. Doty Mcmanus, "Iowa Marriages, 1809-1992"

Citation

"Iowa Marriages, 1809-1992," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XJ1X-X23 : 3 December 2014), Susan Anderson in entry for H. J. Mcmanus and Jerusha J. Doty Mcmanus, 09 Oct 1913; citing Cherokee, Cherokee, Iowa, reference 2:3VX6KPV; FHL microfilm 1,415,960.

I also found many records for Anthony Anderson born in Scotland; do you know his parents' names?  There are also records for a Susan Anderson in Mill Creek, Ohio, in the 1820 and 1830 Census records.  If this is the correct Susan Anderson let me know and I'll get you the records.

Thank you for the information.  Sadly all I have are the names of Susan's parents and only the most basic information.  According to the 1900 census, it lists where her parents were born.  There is one obit, which says they moved from new jersey to ohio around 1818 and died shortly after.

All I've been able to solidly prove is her place of birth and when she was born.

Is mill creek, Ohio in Butler County?  I'm sure she lived in butler county, from 1818 to at least the mid 1830's.

According to Wikipedia, "Mill Creek Township (or Millcreek Township) is a former township of south central Hamilton County, Ohio that was largely absorbed in the late 19th century by the annexation of suburban villages and outlying settlements by the City of Cincinnati. It extended north from the Ohio River along both banks of the Mill Creek after which it was named".  The actual creek begins in Butler County.
