This Anthony Pate was born about 1804 in Tennessee. He may be the Anthony Pate in St. Louis, MO Census of 1840??  He married Eveline/Emma Robertson in Washington County, IL in 1849.  He lived in St. Louis in the early 1850s where he was a teamster.  1850 St. Louis Census has a Margaret Pate that may be old enough to be Anthony's mother; she is living in the household of Adam and Rose Miller.  (Note Adam Miller and Rosannah Pate marriage in late 1840s in Washington Co., IL, also.)  Anthony Pate moved from St. Louis to Meredosia, Morgan Co., IL, from 1862-1875 and then moved to Denison, Grayson Co.,TX, in October 1875.  He cannot be found on tax lists there after 1876, but wife Eveline/Emma is.  Known children:  Jeremiah, Margaret, Amanda, Emma, Henry (may have died young), John, Thomas, Lizzie, Ida.  Jeremiah & Margaret were not children of Eveline Robertson Pate.  TIA for any help!
