Wife - Joire, Jorise, Jorisse...?

+2 votes
I'm thinking "Joire" is the correct answer, since both Jorise and Jorisse show her father as Joire. Or is this another case of they didn't really use last names and the "ise/isse" is the French version of "sen"?

So... which one should be project protected?

I just realized the question doesn't quite work as a "stand-alone" - please see the collected profiles for Matthew Blanchan's wives at the WikiTree profile link.

I think Joire is correct.  It is the form used by the most recent article on the subject: Monte Horton, ""The Memory of the Just Is Blessed": The Ancestry and Extended Family of Chrétien du Bois, bailli, lieutenant, greffier, et receveur de la Comté de Coupigny, notaire, homme de loi, laboureur et marchand; Resident of Wicres, then of Herlies," DuBois Family News (June 2011 – Feb 2013).  http://www.dbfa.org/newsletter8archives.htm.
