Have you seen DNA connections on profiles yet?

These are going to start appearing on more and more profiles as WikiTreers indicate that they have taken a DNA test.

For example, here's the list of Roland Arsenault's FamilyTreeDNA yDNA test connections.

Roland's direct-line male ancestors, such as Pierre Arseneau Sr. (1650-1714), now have messages like this: "It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Pierre by comparing against Roland Arsenault's FamilyTreeDNA yDNA test."

If you've taken a DNA test for genealogy and haven't added it yet, here's where to add it: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:DNATests

Chris,

Am I using the wrong format in the comments section of a DNA test, or are links not allowed there?

See comments on the DNA tests for Henderson-4289

Love the feature, have great hopes of eventually finding where all the Family Finder matches may "fit".
Hi Lorna. Sorry for the very long delay in replying. And I'm sorry to report that links aren't currently possible inside comments.

Great job Chris!  This is a nice addition to WikiTree!

I really like how you put my name (the person who has listed a DNA test) and the first name of the ancestor.  Here is my gr-gr-gr-grandfather, John H. Jones:

"It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing against Ray Jones's FamilyTreeDNA yDNA test."

And, I checked all of my Jones male ancestors.  This appears in each of their profiles.

Hi Chris,

please bear with me if I missed some information on how the DNA integration is planned:

I would suggest that the link "with Ludwig by comparing against Andreas Köhler's FamilyTreeDNA yDNA" points directly to a section in the profile where the SNPs or/and STRs are located.

The idea of this feature isn't to store actual DNA test results on WikiTree, but just to connect people who might be able to learn something from each other's results.
Hi Andreas,

What we could do is link that to the comments on your test. In those comments, you could include some of this information or explain where or how you share it.
