Can anyone find the gravesite of this woman?

Sarah Isabelle b. in Rathwell, MB, Cda, Feb 1, 1906 m. Charles Salter.  She died April 27, 1971 and is buried apparently in San Francisco, US..  Still have not found her gravesiste?

Lauraine, I checked familysearch and agree with Kathy that she died in San Francisco but could find no burial site listed. You might like to know that San Francisco has had no burial grounds for some time, most of the early dead and those who have died more recently are buried in graveyards outside the city, Colma being where most people end up. (Provides more room for the living in a crowded peninsula city.) The Presidio for military and the Columbarium on Geary Ave. are exceptions, the former being quite large.

I didn't find where Sara(h) I. Salter is buried but I did find her death record in the California index and added it to her profile.  Also added her birthplace as Canada (from the death index).  Not really a big help, but at least it's another source.  Also added the Social Security death index which corroborates her birthdate as February 1, 1906.

I saw your query and I took to looking in Find a Grave and I did find a Sarah Isabelle Salter but she is buried in Tarver Family Cemetery in Washington, Ga Her find a grave memorial # is 123844999.  Take a look and see if this may be her. But please be aware that the dates that her on the grave does not correspond with yours.  I did find other Sarah Salter's but in fact there are 115. So let me know if this is wrong but she is married to a Charles W. Salter.      Nancy

I went back to find a grave and found this:

Sarah Salter B. Unk, Died Sep 1968  Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Colma, San Mateo Co, Cal. Find a grave memorial # 73148099

As this woman died in 1971 doubt this is her.  Believe she went by the name Isabell or Isabella, but who knows maybe she changed it to her first name once she left Manitoba.  However, that is the exact year she died April 27, 1971.  So she was known as S. Isabel or Isabella Smith married Charles Salter.  Death is shown in San Francisco but never realized finding where she was buried would be a problem!

You could provide the details to the SF Public Library at this link
and see if they can come up with an obituary which may mention where (and if) she was buried.
