What are proper name suffixes?

+4 votes
One set of my great-grandparents were married first cousins. Their fathers were half brothers. I've documented them back that far. Behind that, they tie into a long tree imported sourceless as a gedcom. My X-times great grandfather was [[Woosley-8| William Woosely twin]]. My error report says "Wrong word in suffix." I think I agree that 'twin' is not a proper suffix, but I am not the PM for that profile, and I haven't contacted him. I don't see a twin category (and it seems to me there shouldn't be one.) Should the twin designation just appear as part of the biography?

An enquiring mind wants to know.  Thanks!

I moved it to the biography field.  Those profiles basically haven't had any improvements since the initial creation from a GEDCOM five years ago.
Thanks, Vince; that's what I thought, too. The PM marked birth date as certain, even though it's not sourced in WT. I hope that mean he has sources somewhere (the gedcom came from ancestry, so perhaps I can find it over there.) I'd like to get some sources further back down the line!
Good luck with that!

Twin or triplet, etc., is not properly a proper name suffix, but there probably should be some way of designating such other than in the biography.  Twins are the most common multiple births, but other types also exist.

I don't know how to build such designations into the wikitree.com system.  Many times, only one twin or triplet, etc. survives.  There's definitely more infant mortality with multiples than with single births.  In some cultures, multiple births were feared and others honored.
