multiple "red" categories ... could Categorization and Quebecois projects take a look?

Hi! Could Categorization & Quebecois project folks take a look at this profile's categories and take care of needed changes? Thanks!

You need to add text to the Category Page and save to get the Category to be saved. I just added the name of the one Category.

Thanks! I know how to create categories, but I don't know Canada, so I didn't know whether the categories as given were appropriate.

I thought you were asking why the categories were red. I have no problem with the Categories that you added. It seems that the three categories should be a subset of Nouvelle France Military Service.

I learn news things everyday. 

I just learned that I can personally add new categories. 

I thought a category group of WikiTree folks reviewed categories used and decided on what to add or correct.

This is an exciting opportunity for me to learn and apply.

I obviously need to work on my communication skills! New categories should be coordinated with the Categorization Project and other relevant projects before being created. This was what I was attempting to do with the G2G post (coordinate with both the Categorization project & others). Hind sight is 20/20... I should have posted to the Categorization project's Google Group instead of to G2G, as the outcome was not what I had intended. Lesson learned.

Jerry - my advice is that you join the Categorization project and allow project members who are more experienced than I am offer you support and guidance in your categorization endeavors.

Liz, I concur with you that new categories should be coordinated with the Categorization Project. However there is no such guidance on the category help page or on the categorization project page. In fact there is no text on either page to help people understand when to create a new category. :-(
