Misleading changes tab record of edits

Working my way through a db_errors list, making only changes to incorrect alphabet letters, and on this profile had made several, so looked at the changes tab to confirm my accuracy.

Noticed that the list of my edits, makes it look like I linked the father and I didn't - he was already linked. I did navigate to the profile from the other profile, not from the db_errors list, knowing that it needed the same edits. Wondering why this would be - could be very confusing. If down the road I was confronted with why I linked the father I would be confounded, and believe I had.

That might be a result of the fact that you edited the father's name, and that changed the name recorded in the data fields for the son's profile.

Nice work on fixing the coding of the Swedish letters on those profiles. :-)
Oh, OK.  I was very confused - thanks Ellen.  Will file this in the memory bank, should the day come to explain why  :)

I had something similar some time ago.

Thanks for the link to your similar, odd edit history. I've never scrolled down to bottom and seen that warning at the bottom - so it is a known quirk. I was sooo confused, thinking I had done something wrong, and took quite awhile to assure myself, that I'd not hit a wrong key and messed stuff up.  After posting this G2G there was another one that showed I changed the father from someone named Clark to the current.  I was able to shake my head a move on.
