Does anyone want to help me with my "errors"?? They keep multiplying!

Question

I am getting overwhelmed with this error database and didn't realize I had so many blood relatives.  I haven't been a volunteer for very long and would like to get my close family entered completely and accurately before I spend time correcting a ton of mistakes that other people have made.  I also enjoy answering others' questions occasionally and doing a bit of research.  But I find myself shying away from my error report. So I would like assistance as long as other active managers are consulted - you know the rules better than I do!    Charles-1548

Patricia,

It is not necessary for you to make corrections on profiles that you do not manage. They do show up on your error report because they are connected by blood or by marriage. As a relatively new member, I would suggest you just work on your own profiles and get them cleared away, before you think about working on others. It's a lot easier to work on profiles that you are familiar with.

And there is no obligation to correct errors. It is completly your decision what you will do on Wikitree. You can return to correcting errors whenewer you wish. In the meantime someone else might fix some errors.

Thank you Ales - I thought it was my responsibility to clean up my error report so I am pleased that you answered like you did.  I no longer feel "obligated" to do it.  Now I can go back to enjoying my time on WikiTree.
