Does anyone care to offer and opinion concerning this book?  There seems to be a great deal of documented information on the Francis Weeks descendants in the History and Genealogy of the Cock, Cocks, Cox Family: Descended from James and Sarah Cock, of Killingworth Upon Matinecock, in the Township of Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y.  privately printed, 1914 by George W. Cocks.

After a very brief review, it appears to list its sources, which is good. Is there a reason you are concerned about it?

I'm descended from Francis, then Samuel, then Philip, and when the book reaches Philip, it is missing information that my research has shown, but perhaps that lineage isn't a problem area for you.

Thank-you.  My instincts also told me that there appeared to be good documentation.  I was mostly concerned as to whether the Cocks/Cox family had been able to confirm the documentation and the conclusions through their own documentation.  Perhaps I was not specific enough in my query.  As far as I know I have not Cocks connection but I do have a great deal of interest in the Weeks family.  I have a Robert Weeks who shows up in Montgomery County, New York but I have never been able to connect him to his ancestors with any appropriate proofs.

Sincerely,

Judith
