I have a landscape oil painting in the style of Constable signed by Rodney Boyce dated 1934 with painted area 465mm high and 325mm wide. The scene is of a rural road winding down a hill towards a river valley.

It was given to my grandfather John McMaster who painted watercolours of darling downs landscapes around the same time and possible exchanged. Value, provenance and subject matter are of interest as I am trying to establish its worthiness for restoration.

Dear Larry,

All I could find on Rodney Boyce's paintings was

Roger Boyce's History of Painting – EyeContact

From what I understand, there was an exhibition in New Zealand in 2010.  You might be able to contact the gallery for further information and advice.

Hope all works out well for you.
