Apology for failing to respond to question regarding White's line

Question

I must apologize to someone (I think her name is Kim) who sent me a private question regarding someone (female) in my White line.  Somehow the message got deleted and I cannot find any way to retrieve it.  If they wil contact me again I will be glad to answer.

A related question.  does wiki have anyway to retrieve or review messages, sent you, by using any of the drop-down boxes from "My Wiki Tree"?

My name is Kim and I did ask a question but it was about a male ancestor.  His name is John M. White (my grandmother's grandfather from McMinn, Tennessee born in 1838), his Father's name is John White (ID: White-5040), and John's father is Elisha White (ID: White-5024).  First problem is Elisha and John have the same children listed twice,  Second problem is there is some kind of loop when I select John's (ID: White-5040) son John - I get taken right back to John (ID: White-5040). Even thought I have a few different dates and more spouces for both John (ID: White-5040) and Elisha (ID: White-5024) - I can't add my John M until this is fixed.  I'm pretty sure I have the correct information from familysearch.  The stuff from ancestry is completely messed up where this particlular family is concerned. I'd appreciate any help you can give - even if I'm wrong about John M 's parentage.

Kim what you describe with John sounds like he was accidentally merged into his father and must be rebuilt - that is unfortunate and if that is what happened you may need help
