I have been told there was a bill middleton that was the iligetimate son of lucy middleton who was married to my grandfather william hesley middleton. rumor is that `hess` and lucy split, she then got pregnant before returning to hess who in turn raised bill as his own. hess then remarried and had more children which began my family line. the truth about `bill` was completely unknown to us until his name came up in a probate issue after my grandmother ruby died(hess` second wife) so basically hess` first wife lucy was the mother of bill middleton but kept a secret from the rest of the second family.
