1. Children of influencial (or would be) families often betrothed their children at very early ages, (as still happens in parts of the world). The marriages taking place later, but sometimes when they were still 'children' -  in most instances this was a marriage as a contract only and particularly in relation to the 'bride' she would not enter into a full marriage until puberty or even later (14-16 yrs) as one of the main points of the marriage was to produce children to further advance the family. So yes Ann & Anthony may have been very young when they married
