Family found in Chemung County, New York on the 1840 and 1850 US, and 1855 New York censuses, where they converted to the Mormon Faith and went west after 1855, to Michigan. Jacob died in Royalton Township, Berrien County shortly after 1860 census. Jacob was the son of William Wheaton and Orpha Brooks Wheaton.
