Hi WikiTreers!

We've had a lot of different requests lately for more ways to acknowledge when a member does something awesome for you or for the community as a whole.

Right now you can:

Sometimes the person already has all the badges, though, and maybe you've already thanked them and left a comment on their profile.

What else can you do?

Well, now we'd encourage you to post here in the G2G to give that awesome WikiTreer some public praise! Maybe others will want to say thank you to them too.

Be sure to include their profile ID when you post and also use the tag "wonderful_wikitreers".

I sure hope that this "Wonderful Wkitree" Award is given to D Barry-1264! She has really gone above and beyond to help me learn to function on Wikitree.   If she hasn't received it yet, I NOMINATE HER FOR IT ......

Aw, thank you Kathy!

Kathy, I love how you already used this to post thank-yous to Paul and to Aleš! Those two posts are models for exactly what Eowyn was suggesting.

I second that Chris!

This is wonderful Eowyn, thank you! One of my favorite things about wikitree is the respect, kindness and generosity most wikitree users show to one another. The has already been several times I wanted to acknowledge someone but they had every badge and I'd already posted a thank you. This gives us one more tool to show everyone how wonderful they are!

To start it I'd like to publicly thank you for everything you do. Your impact upon wikitree is something we all are very grateful for, thank you!

Eowyn K. Langholf / Lady Elf, you ma'am are the kindest, most polite, generous, giving and caring person; That I have ever met online. Your great expertise and knowledge of genealogy and WT-Markup IMHO (In My Honest Opinion) is unsurpassed in spirit and deed. I'd been gone long ago from WT except the anointment and caliber of you and others. You are some of the glue that keeps WT on-track.

Yesterday you sent me a "Wonderful WikiTreer" it is you who deserve this honor. Always a pleasure, JPV IV :)

I really want to acknowledge Bea Timmerman-225, as a 'Wonderful_Wikitreer'. Bea has been Amazing and deserves more than a Thank you from a link, or posted to her profile. She is currently and has been working so hard on my/our New Netherlands Van Wormer, Van Auken, Ouderkerk families for a several weeks now. Bea has not only been the most relentless help - but also the most knowledgeable, friendly, giving person I have encountered here. Without her, these lines would be a mess by so much conflicting information... her tenacity has not wavered. Plus, she is helping to confirm relationships, I have been challenged over, and that always makes one feel Good and Stronger with and about their research! She is a True asset to WikiTree. Thank you! Charlotte
