If two profiles are both connect to the world tree, then shouldn't the relationship finder be able to find the relationship of the two profiles?

I mean if they are both connected to the world tree then there is connection there somewhere right?

Not necessarily. Can you be more specific about full names, time frame and location?

The Global Tracker is at the bottom of each profile.

There are two different relationship trackers.  One will show you how a person is related to specific other individuals.  This one includes relationships through marriage.  On the Global Tracker I am 23 degrees from Kevin Bacon. This is based on my son-in-law's heritage and I believe involves two other marriages.

The Relationship Finder under Family Trees and Tools shows I have no relationship to Kevin Bacon.  Because it is tracking a blood relationship.

Exactly. The relationship finder from the drop down (as opposed to the bottom of the page) would show no relationship between me and my sister-in-law, for example. Common ancestors only.
