Researching Elvira Nicholas, daughter of Jacob Nicholas and Selia/Celia (possibly Dearman of Lauderdale County, MS.

Just starting to research my paternal grandmother's family. Elvira Nicholas (1851 MS - 1936 MS), was daughter of Jacob Nicholas (1815 GA? - ?) and Selia/Celia Dearman (1823 AL? - ?). Jacob and Selia lived in Lauderdale County, MS and owned property there. I have been told Elvira married Thomas Albert Smith (1845 Sweden - 1923 Meridian, MS) in 1872 in MS. It's about all I know, and I have very little documented proof. Wondering if anyone is researching this family and could share info?  p.s.  I am new to this site so appreciate your patience as I learn how to use it. Thank you!
