If you follow the censuses back, they are consistent in showing that she was born in Arkansas and her mother was born in Missouri. Her father is shown as being born in either Missouri or Indiana.
There is an Anna Turner, b. ca. 1898 in Arkansas, lived with her parents John and Julia Turner in Benton Township, Newton County, Arkansas. The father was born in Indiana and the mother in Missouri. Anna had a sister, Lottie.("United States Census, 1900," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M3ZB-591 : accessed 10 December 2016), Anna Turner in household of John Turner, Benton Township, Newton, Missouri, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 101, sheet 9B, family 190, NARA microfilm publication T623 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1972.); FHL microfilm 1,240,877.)
John and Julia look like good bets to me. If you can't find something connecting them, look at Lottie and see if your Turner Mayfield Beck had a sister Lottie. As she died in California under the name Beck, I would get a copy of her Death Certificate. The informant might have known her parents names.
