Hi,

I am trying to find information about Elizabeth Margaret Keating who was born in Toowoomba, possibly on 28 October 1921, as she was 29 in 1951. (Elizabeth Margaret is my husband's birthmother. )I found an entry for an Elizabeth Margaret as the daughter of William B. Keating who was a police constable in Walkerston from 1917-1919, but is later  listed as a baker with the addresses 34 Warry St, Brisbane in1925 and 1928. Then he moves to 9th Ave Coorparoo in 1929 then 270 Gladstone Rd 1931 to 1937 and 188 Harcourt St New Farm. I was wondering if he was a nephew of Thomas or William Keating and worked for them?

About Elizabeth Margaret we only know that she worked for Strandbags, Sydney in 1950/51 and lived in 148 Ashley St in Chatswood. Before that she may have lived in Fletcher St Bondi.

My husband only found out his real last name recently, when he requested his birth certificate and his mother's name was not Edna Schweppes as he had been told but Elizabeth Margaret Keating.

Can anyone shed light on this?
