sponsored advt by MyHeritage - what ????

Having spent much of the day unsuccessfully trying to connect this profile to the Wikiweb I took another look this evening and was horrified to find an advt inviting others to explore "102 marriage records, 223 death records & 903 census records" about W, McDevitt. - and here's me thinking I had done a reasonable jog working all that out on my own!

I really want to block this advt. from the profile - can this be done?

It only appears on the public version of this profile, and I guess others too

Particularly annoying since the search function of MyHeritage is so lousy. Tends to include a lot of farfetched junk and miss the useful matches.

I believe this is how Wikitree remains free to its members.

Of course - should have thought of that, was taken a-back thinking of all those thousands of profiles I have left open and manager-less for families to pick up. She'll be right, thank goodness for WikiTree collaboration to see things properly sorted where needed.

I think all the various advertisements show up on profiles when you are not logged in.

I wonder if that is why I don't see any ads on this or any pubic profiles?
