Trying to find Marretje van den Brink's parents. I have them as Jan van den Brink and Teuntje de Heus. I have found a tree on line at https://gedbas.genealogy.net/person/ancestors/1178430940. All i can find is a death for Jan van den Brink. Would Jan be a Nickname for Johannes? and how do i know which  Teuntje de Heus is mine? They can be found at van den Brink- 171 and de Heus-15. For some reason i am told these WikiTree id does not exist.

Any help much appreciated

Hello.

Yes, Jan=Johannes (Johannes is the Latin/catholic form of Jan). The death certificate you attached to van den Brink-17 is correct.

After some searching i found the marriage of Jan van den Brink and Teuntje de Heus. https://www.wiewaswie.nl/personen-zoeken/zoeken/document/a2apersonid/609977472/srcid/28371910/oid/24 Antonia=Teuntje.

And this would be Teuntje's birth https://www.wiewaswie.nl/personen-zoeken/zoeken/document/a2apersonid/785679413/srcid/52342633/oid/5

And this is the baptism registration of Johannes (left page, third entry from top, dated 21 juni 1810) :

"Netherlands, Noord-Holland Province, Church Records, 1523-1948," images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G9QV-B1B3?cc=2037985&wc=SM9W-92K%3A382016601%2C382293401%2C382293402 : 21 August 2014), Rooms Katholiek > Bussum > image 17 of 20; Nederlands Rijksarchiefdienst, Den Haag (Netherlands National Archives, The Hague).

Many Thanks for all the information. I will be busy for the next few days adding to the tree.

Merry xmas to you all

Regards
