Thomas Wiggins of Jamaica, Queens and/or of Reading, Massachusetts [closed]

I've recently been researching and documenting/connecting the Wiggins family of Jamaica, Queens who descend from Thomas Wiggins, one of the town's original grantees.

There seems to be controversy in family trees as to whether this Thomas is *also* the same who was in Reading, Massachusetts.

See, for instance, FindAGrave disclaiming the connection: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=58242746

vs. Wikitree, for example: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Wiggins-244 , wherein the identities are conflated (by virtue of the daughter Sarah).

Specifically, this question plays out as whether https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Wiggins-244 should be merged with https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Wiggins-1478, or whether Sarah Creed Wiggins should be detached from her current father, Wiggins-244, and attached to Wiggins-1478.

This family has a good page: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~woolsey/resources/descends/woolgen/wlrebecca1659_1731.html begins with well-sourced information, but the last section devolves into unsourced assertions, particularly with respect to the connection to Massachusetts and Battersea, Surry Co., England.

Thoughts?

EDIT: by the way, my first reaction is that Sarah Wiggins Creed is attached to the wrong father presently, but if the Reading connection is legitimate, I don't want to go in the wrong direction.

Pope, Charles H. The Pioneers of Massachusetts: A Descriptive List, Drawn from Records of the Colonies, Towns, and Churches, and Other Contemporaneous Documents. Baltimore: Genealogical Pub. Co, 1965, 496 (https://archive.org/stream/pioneersofmassac00pope#page/496/mode/2up).

"Wiggins, Wiggin, Thomas, Lynn, 1649. Worked for the Iron Works Co.; carted coal, helped build the finery chimney, etc. He m. at Reading 27 (6) 1649, Sarah ---. Rem. to Rustport (s/b Rustdorp), N.Y.; deposition, 1660. [Es. Files.]
Distinguish carefully from Capt. Thomas Wiggin, the eminent pioneer of New Hampshire."

I'd say the case is looking good for Thomas of Reading being Thomas of Rustdorp/Jamaica. May have to wonder about "deposition, 1660. [Es. Files,]" though.

The "deposition" (actually a power of attorney) of Thomas of Rustport is found in Essex Deeds, Vol. I, p. 80 (200): https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89ZZ-BX25.

[I'm looking for a John Wiggins who m. Ruhammah Marble about 1668 in Lynn by the Capt. Marshall mentioned. This John could be the 'youth of 15 yrs. passeng. in the Speedwell from London to Boston 1656' (Savage) and/or connected to this Thomas.]
