I can't find a maiden name

If she was born a Rashal and married one, would not her maiden name be that same as her husband's surname, Rashal?

I have an ancestor whose maiden name was Conant. She married a distant cousin and his surname was Conant, so her maiden name was the same as her husband's surname.

I guess this is right it is my Uncle's parents out of Louisiana, I Don't know much about them just know about my Cousins from this line,  Thanks

It could be that like with my ancestors, that the husband and wife share a common ancestor if you go back enough generations. It could also be that there is no connection.

According to the above site, the most with the Rashal surname are in Louisiana, with some in Texas and Illinois as well. 

In looking up Rashal at familysearch.org , 1300's-1600's, there was An Rashal in Greatham, Durham, England buried in 1635.
