Could someone check the bio/source that I attempted for Larsson-3151 & fix for me so I can see what I am doing wrong?

I stopped adding info to my Wikitree over a year ago because I cannot comprehend the formatting ...unsourced information can not be taken seriously. I spent another hour today. I thought I had done exactly how the examples showed on the right - but I got nada.  Thanks for any help.

I want to share that a greater grand-daughter of this exact relative [Carlson VanPelt] just saw my contribution from 2014 and contacted me.  I had been looking for descendants of her grandmother for close to 40 years.  If Maggie hadn't helped me out with an error I had made, and hadn't substantiated it, I may never have heard from my "cousin".  Thank you to all our wonderful collaborators who made this connection possible!

Karen,

I made some changes to the bio and included explanations of everything I did, plus some more suggestions.  You will only see the explanations on the edit page and you can delete them after you are finished seeing them.  I will be happy to answer any questions you have about how to use code tags if you send me a private message.

Glad you connected with your cousin, it's awesome. It really sums up why we are doing this collaboration, it's about sharing information, resources and knowledge.

Did you notice that I added a second wife and the daughter Emma Christina in the biography of Andreas Andersson ? I did not make any new profiles for them, I'll leave that up to you if you wish to do that.

Did you get the book by Emanuelsson? I'm happy to translate if you like but I could not find it on the library here in Sweden. Just send me a private message to let me know (click on my name just above any of the comments I made on Andreas Anderssons profile and you will go to my profile where you find "send a private message").

Here's one problem </ ref> should be </ref> no spaces

By fixing that, it opened up the comments in the Biography and Sources section, where we couldn't see them before.

Hi Karen, hope this helps, by adding this line twice <references /> you replicated your sources twice, so it only needs to be in once. Often people write some text then put the source at the end of a sentence which seems to work well :)

Also your note about not being able to read Swedish, if you ask and tag it with Swedish i suspect there are a few people here who could help :)

Here is a basic profile i made today if you would like to have a look at how i wrote the sources https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Kell-254

Happy searching :)

Another thing you might want to do would be to ask for a mentor to help you get over the learning hump.  If you edit your question and add the tag mentor you'll probably get one fairly soon.
