Link to Surname Projects pages now hard to locate

With the recent changes, I wondered what had happened to the link to a surname project page when you enter a surname.  I eventually see that it is way down the page on the right.  I think it should be at the top with or ideally above the quick links

When you "Click here for live data and advanced tools for collaboration, genetic genealogy, surname projects, etc."    the surname project pages are way down and have to be scrolled for.

I do not like it at all.  It was better before  albeit cluttered.

Hi Chris,

Are you talking about one-name studies or just the link to the genealogists page, i.e. the link on https://www.wikitree.com/genealogists/GILBERT that says "join the Gilbert project" or the page itself?

I don't think we ever had the "join the Gilbert project" link on the main surname index page, but it was clearer how to get to the Gilbert Genealogists page.

I do think we should link to project pages from the main surname index pages, but that would require some technical changes and we need to figure out the best way to do it.

Thanks Chris.  It's the link to the Project pages you can see when you enter a surname in the search box that have disappeared way down the page that I would like back at the top please.  Why did they get relegated?
Sorry, I'm not understanding you. They didn't get relegated.
What I mean is that in the past when you entered a surname you were presented with a page which had a link to the surname pages plain to see in a box at the top.  Or at least that is how I remember it and what I used to access the pages
Sorry, Chris, we're still speaking past each other. I don't know what you mean by "link to the surname pages". Do you mean the surname index pages? The genealogists following a surname? The one-name study project page for the surname, if there is one?
You used to enter a surname at the search box at the top and get presented with a box or two one of which had links to free space pages which would include a surname study page if one exists.  This is what I was using to quickly click through to them.  Now you have to scroll down to see if there is a link at the bottom on the right
