Thanks Paula. There are many issues with this profile that can be fleshed out. My biggest concerns are this is a politically and historically important profile. Anything thing done with profile effects many managers. I would like to have it under project management. So there is some continuity to it's management.
John Cherry has brought some information to my attention that another William Carter could be the son of John Carter the Vinter. John's info merits consideration. I have gone over it several times. I have given a lot of thought to it.
If John's William is the son of John the Vinter that Changes the upline line of Carter4270. Who is defiantly the ancestor of President Jimmy Carter , though William's son Thomas Carter and his daughter Mary Carter. Which leads to some cousin relations down line between these two children and some other Carter cousins.
The there is confusion over Thomas Carters on wikitree. Is he Williams's brother , or son. I say there are sources that William had a brother and son with the name Thomas.
There is also confusion as to which ship William arrived on , in wikitree. The is evidence that he travelled to and from England many times on Company business.
There are detailed records of where he lived and who his neighbors were. Who his children and grandchildren married.
There are references to business dealing with his cousins the Grays that may lead to who his parents were.
So my point is this , I would like to see someone take this profile on as a whole. Not have it edited piece meal. It becomes more and more confused each time it is editted
I have already mentioned the family connections of his third wife Alice ( Alyse ) Croxon to the Parkes , Edward Warren Her husband's after William. And Edward Warrens wives Grace Creed and Susan Lane. This one connection has the possibility to connect many existing wikitree possibilities.
My issue is that there is alot of info to compile , and coordinate. I can do that. Since I lost all my records in a move , I have to gather this info again. I'm good at that part but not good at getting it all on wikitree.
Maintaining this profile is too much for me . Because I can't address each question or edit to this profile. I want to get the info together in a comprehensive way. The thing is it takes time. There is pressure on wikitree to get things done in a hurry. That isn't going to happen as I manage this profile.
Sorry this is so long . But these are my concerns. Also to detach Williams parent affects many wikitree members.
