Can I auto reject entries based on location mismatch when comparing / reviewing a GED

HI I am importing my family tree via GED - I get a lot of false matches where names /dates are the same or similar but my locations are UK whereas the matchs are for folk in the USA.

Is there any way I can set this as a default? ie set to Reject if birth location is a different country. This would save me so much time

Wouldn't that be nice? I get suggestions for people born on the wrong continent. The worst has to be with people surnamed Smith. maybe if you were to repost this with "Feature Request" someone could figure out how to add it.

One problem I see with that; One person is born in Portland, Oregon and another in Oregon, or Portland, or even Ore. You would want the system to present these to you as possible matches even though they were born in different places.
Id be happy to submit as a feature request - do you know how i raise a feature request? Assuming people include a country, hopefully that would bypass your issue. if they dont I guess there is no way to safely filter them
It might work better to exclude all matching profiles that have certain strings in the location field, such as "New Zealand" or "United States."
I so agree with you, it would save so much time if country could be selected or excluded!

I don't know how to do that. Perhaps ask it in the wikitree tech forum?
