I have hit a brick wall. If anyone has information on a William Marshall (possibly middle initial of "M") born around 1817 in either PA or KY and who died in KY. I think he died in 1887, but could have died before 1870 because all records I find of his family from 1870 onward do not list him and Ann M Marshall (Botts Hart), his wife, is listed as a widow. I know of one child, my great great grandfather, David C Marshall. I am trying to trace my Marshall lineage back. No DNA matches have any more information either. Any help is appreciated. I found one record I believe to be this William having his death as 29 Jan 1887, but I'm not positive this is the correct William. Some records I believe to be him have him born in PA and some say KY, so I am confused on this. I know he lived is KY and was supposed to have owned some property (possibly a plantation and a hotel). His wife is Ann M Botts. She was also married to Samuel Hart before marrying William Marshall and had a son from this marriage of a Charles Hart who was born around 1847 in KY. This is all I know about Charles Hart.  William and Ann married in 1856. Ann died in 1895 in KY. Ann's parents were Charles Botts and Sarah Covington Tutt. Thanks again.

according to LDS website, he was born in Kentucky 1817, died about 1865. it does not list a source. may have been married 3 aug 1856 Louisville KY. his LDS ID is LVS9-BF3. her ID is K878-XWY. if this is him, her parents were Charles Botts, 1784-1846, and Sarah (Sally) Covington Tutt, 1793-1880 botts were married nelson KY 16 feb 1808. hope this helps. familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:F43G-56D : 4 DEC 2014

Thank you for this information. However, this is from the tree I created on that site hoping to find out some more information. I have a tree on 8 or 9 websites hoping to get some more help. Thanks again for your help.
