On pre-1700, it states ( ? ) to help or correct a wrong info. I would not know what is right or what is wrong. I only know is about the people that I put in. at times I do make mistakes and I end up asking for help. I do not know alot about terminalogy, making corrections and so on.

Robert, if you do not feel comfortable doing something, nobody would push you to it. Just stick with what you know for now. If you do come across something you know for sure is wrong and you do have the sources to prove it, that's the time to step in and correct.

To add to this comment, if you ever come across something that is incorrect send an email over to the profile manager to ask about it. they may have a reason why it was changed. I find this is also useful when you are merging possible duplicates. I usually leave a little note saying "hey, can you check on the information and update if necessary."
