Do you have any folks with the last name of Strain in your family?

My grandmother was a Strain from Texas.  They migrated from Tennessee around 1875.  Because the Henderson County courthouse burned twice, most of the information needed to trace her family ack further has become quite a progres block.

I spent the last year researching all Strains in Henderson County, Tennesee and Madison County Tennessee.  Then on to all Strains I could find in South Carolina...nothing has helped me in connecting to the right family.

However, I have a year's worth of data that may benefit someone else reseraching Strains, so I have created a Strain Roots project profile page where I hope to collaborate and build upon.  I am starting to add GEDCOM files to WikiTree for the research I have and hope you may find answers where I did not!

I've added the template to David Fletcher Strain (Strain-409), but I don not know of his parentage.

David - Thank you for answering!  I do have information for a David Fletcher Strain, which appears to match your Stain-409.  I will make sure that this is the next GEDCOM file I upload to WikiTree!

You need to approve the merges of the profiles in your GEDCOM with the Strain and Hughey families I had already posted in wikitree.
