In the 1910 census:  Beauregard is a widower:

In 1930, he has remarried a woman name "Mitelee".

Was Meade Bates a daughter inlaw or daughter or Spouse ??

According to the 1930 census: Mitelee Wade age 38 is Beauregard's wife. He is aged 68. Living with them are presumably her two daughters: Ruby, age 15 and Katheline, age 13. Both have taken the Wade last name.  His death certificate in 1933 states that Meade Bates is his wife, definitely not his daughter-in-law.

Meade is listed as a widow in the 1940 census:

"United States Census, 1940," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K4D8-ZSJ : accessed 17 January 2017), Meade B Wade, Greenville Township, Greenville, South Carolina, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) 23-67, sheet 8B, line 68, family 170, Sixteenth Census of the United States, 1940, NARA digital publication T627. Records of the Bureau of the Census, 1790 - 2007, RG 29. Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 2012, roll 3813.

And she dies -- listed as Meade Wade in November 1970 in South Carolina.

"United States Social Security Death Index," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J2DR-P68 : 20 May 2014), Meade Wade, Nov 1970; citing U.S. Social Security Administration, Death Master File, database (Alexandria, Virginia: National Technical Information Service, ongoing).

It looks like she was his daughter in law in the 1910 census.  I wonder which son she was married to?

I know I don't know what to do with her I wanted to get Gertrude put on their Gertrude Wade Edwards is her daughter I thank I'm confused
Could Ruby age 15 be Meade's daughter?  I can see someone being called Ruby when the first name is Gertrude.  In 1940 Meade is living alone but she had to answer the "extra" question on the 1940 census.  She said she was first married at 18 (which I wouldn't take as gospel) and that she had 4 children who were born (not stillborn).  It wouldn't be unheard of for the daughter-in-law to marry her father-in-law.  It just makes the tree a little more confusing.
So what would you do? Meade is another wife right?
You thank Rudy Wade b. 1915 married a Wilson or a Phillips now I'm going to work on Katherine Wade and go back to my Tripp family that I was working on before I received information on the Wade family all these families connect to my Slatten family but I'm adding them so maybe I can find out more information on my Direct Lineage,  Thanks for helping me,
