Death dates different but parents the same. Children also different. But, looks  like they are the same person and should be merged.

Is it possible with a different death date that you have 2 siblings with the same name with one dying before the other was born?  I think these kinds of records need more research and are not just as simple as the name is the same and the parents are the same.  I have many examples of records like this (I name them with a prefix of I, II, etc) in my own lines.

Have you looked  at the visitation given as a source in  RG Horace's comment when he proposed the merge ? . https://archive.org/stream/dugdalesvisitati2dugd#page/98/mode/2up

John Hanson-531 has parents in agreement with the visitation, John Hanson-195 has no parents,

John Hanson of  Woodhead did indeed marry Agnes Saville as do both these Johns.

If you look at the children: Hanson -195, has a John, and Hanson-531 has an Edward and a Thomas,  the visitation agrees with this as this John (John X on the visitation)  had sons including John, Edward and Thomas.

John (X1) was the heir and he had two wives 1) Margaret Woodhead and 2) Margaret Wade. Hanson-194, John the son of Hanson-195  has the same two wives.

The visitation includes the date of probate for the will of John (married to Agnes Saville) which was in 1554 with the will written in 1553  Neither of the death dates agree with this .

I think that these are the same person and should be merged. ,

edit ; the genealogy of Edward, son of John and Agnes continues on page 102 of the visitation. This is further confirmation since Edward Hanson-1518 married Joan Kaye as does the Edward of the visitation

Nice analysis, Helen.

Perhaps a better look of the families on a single page (which shows some of the family and descendants of John Hanson and Agnes Saville as mentioned above,) see page 257 in the link below, an earlier publication on which Clay's important additions are based:

https://ia800203.us.archive.org/24/items/visitationcounty36surtuoft/visitationcounty36surtuoft.pdf

edit: information regarding the additions by Clay to Dugdale's manuscript can be found in volume 1 of the publication:
