Internal error interrupting merge

While working on db:error 912, intending to correct the LNAB of
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Johansson-82
to Johansdotter
an internal error occurred in the server.

The result was that a new, stunted profile was created:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Johansdotter-1657

This profile has no other info than a Last Name At Birth and a Current name. It is formatted as a guest member The two managers of the original profile are managers of this new profile as well
I am on the trusted-list for it.

I was kicked off the trusted-list for Johansson-82
so I cannot complete a merge immediately if I should initiate it.

Hi Eva,

I don't know what happened there, but I completed the merge so this profile should be OK now.

Thanks. Then I'll source her tomorrow morning.

This has happened twice before in the same context. The first time I did as the message for internal errors told me and sent a mail to info@wikitree - but since there was basically no response, I initiated the merge myself and the next time I just initiated the merge. They'll go through in due time. This time I thought that you really should know that this happens occasionally; perhaps once in 120 changes of LNAB.

Normally a change of LNAB goes through in the time it would take me to take a sip of coffee, if I had a cup at hand. When it goes wrong, it goes into a spin for a minute or two and then comes out with the error page.

Could be a knot in the Atlantic cable ;-)
Had another internal error just now.

Not involving any LNAB change this time, so not a big problem.

Again went into a 90 second-or-more spin and landed on the error page.

The interesting thing was that the changes I had made in the bio were saved - whereas the changes to fields for preferred name and current name did not come through.

When it started spinning I had the time to copy the info in the bio, where had cleaned up GEDCOM cruft and provided a couple of sources. Turned out I didn't need that, but you never know.
Had another internal error right now, when creating
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pålsdotter-114

She came through with only a name and me as manager, red private.
But I'll re-fashion her to what was intended.
