Since we can not see the post in question I am going to speak in general terms which may or may not apply to your post.

It is my understanding that any post containing information about living persons private information such as email, phone number, or address should be removed. Also any post containing vulgar language or trying to sell something has no place here.  There could be other reasons like attacking another member but again this is all in general terms because the actual post can no longer be seen except by Leaders or Sys Ops.

Sometimes it does happen by accident because people think that flagging a question is a good thing not understanding that it is actually the process to starting the removal of the post.
Hi Dale,

Thank you, that was most helpful.

Hugh
Hi Hugh

Your post referred to a group that was advertising PAID FOR services - this is against the WikiTree Honor Code - that is why it was hidden
Hi Chet,

I did not realize that was a problem and it was very secondary to our mission so I deleted it.   I have spent a lot of time scanning quality source material that is not available on the Net for one county.  I will never recover my cost of labor but I hoped to raise pocket change to fund our project.
