Does anyone know the parents of Colonel William Henry Grice? He was born in Horry County, SC around 1785 and died in Marion County, SC in 1854. He was a senator for Kingston (Horry County) from 1816-1820 and Liberty (Marion County). I can't seem to find any information regarding his parents. The link to his record contains some more details as well; please reply if you have any leads. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks! :)

You might find information more reliable than ancestry.com  by calling the South Carolina State Library  phone 803-734-8666.  They have an excellent archive on their historical figures, particularly soldiers and politicians.

Thank you! I have run across those names as well, but as I wasn't able to find a definitive connection, I kept looking. Have you found any documents (wills, etc.) that tie William Henry to James Thomas and Mary Martha?
