I added the {{1776}} template and his DAR record to his profile.  On that record it lists a son named Adam.

An ancestry.com tree gives their child as Mary Molly Tanner born 1788 Rutherford, North Carolina, United States and married to George Ross born 1782 Virginia. No other children listed and no documents. http://person.ancestry.com/tree/28004380/person/12080068101/facts

This needs to be researched. There is more undocumented info.
I see a few trees and I see an Adam Tanner b. 1806 married Susan they are other children on these trees , I'm going to add Adam to start off with and see if it pulls up anything else, Thanks for this information
I see Mary Tanner I will add her also and see what I come up with,  Thanks for this information
I can't find much on Mary Tanner I'm still looking if you find anything please share,

Are you aware of the "Revolutionary War pension applications" as a source??  Some of these are EXTREMELY informative and interesting!!  Do a web search;  if you need assistance, I will try to provide it...

Yes James if you can share it I would like to see it can the information be posted on profile, Thanks
This site refers to "Southern Campaigns," so I'm not sure it will contain what you need, but (IMO) they are fascinating reading regardless of whether or not one is related:

http://revwarapps.org/index.htm

Just find the "Searches" button and dig in!

Also, there might be other (and better) sources in different states.  I hope this helps, and Good luck!!

P. S.  Have you tried this site:  http://www.americanrevolution.org/ (recommended by Randi Bowersox on a different posting in this thread...

Oh, my!  Here is a great source, too:  Virginia Revolutionary Pension Applications (available via HathiTrust.org).  The full text of TEN volumes is made freely available;  some of the other 30+ are search-only (NOT full text).  (In general, I love this source!!!)

Thanks James Stewart my messages hasn't been showing up since 27of September

Thanks for helping

Are your Tanner also listed as Danner in the earlier years? And are they from Germany?
