Thanks for sharing your lovely photo Sharon! This might be the first photo before 1900 I've seen that the woman is sitting and the man is standing. A real gentlemen!
Ha.... Conrad and Anna Rehberger.  My great grandparents in Cincinnati.  My genealogy tree on her family is not doing very well.  I am told that tracing Jewish lines in Eastern Europe is a real challenge.  I just joined a facebook forum for Cincinnati Historical Society and they seem to have some help.  I am kicking myself for not visiting my grandmother when I was a young school teacher and had a couple of free months in the summer.  I could have spent time with my grandmother and asked her a million questions about her family.
I think just about everyone that does genealogy regret not asking their grandparents more. I guess we thought they would be here longer.
My mother was Wonderful by doing just that as  child.  That is why I have so much information on her family plus poems she wrote about her grandparents and stories that her grandmother told her....that were stories HER grandmother told HER about the Civil War.  I have such GREAT stories about the Lyons ladies and their Civil War stories.  Thanks, Mom.
Also, because of my mother, I have photos that go for generations.  One of Sarah Jordan is from early photography.  To me, it almost looks like a good pencil drawing.  So many people have told me they want that photo,  DANG...another project on my to do list.  I have to take her off the wall and copy her!

This is a very magnificent photo that someone has made a great job putting colour on, when I first look at the gorgeous photo I did not think it was that old. I think Sharon you are not the only person that feel like this not visiting your family when they are a live. But how wonderful you do have this amazing photo

Thank you for sharing

Yes, the original black and white photos are great, but I like what color does to the pictures.  I keep both versions.  I use a facebook group called Restoring and Coloring Old Family Pictures.  It is free.  They are a hobby group and the artists change from time to time as new people try their talent at coloring.  I have had many, many photos done by them.
