Who were the parents for Offelda Shelton Hayes - Grainger County TN?

Question

Looking for Info on Offelda Shelton Hayes

Offelda Shelton was born 1869 and she claimed on Censuses that she was born in Illinois/ Indiana. Died in 1926 at Grainger County TN.

She was blind due to Diabetes.

She shows up in 1880 census at Union CO TN and all the way to 1920 Census in TN.

married Marvel Hayes in March 1895 at Union County TN.

I want to know which are the correct parents for Offelda Shelton ?

As of Right now ,  I have her parent down as John Shelton (1818-1900) and Catherine Herron (1820-1909)

But then her parents could be Joseph Shelton (1850-1924) and  Dinah Anderson (1852-1923) since they had a daughter named offelda too.

So who are her parents ????

I saw your post and I thought I could help since I have been working this someone who wants to know where Marvel is buried. I am still working on that. However I did find this;  

1880 Union, Tennessee Census:

Joseph Shelton - age 28;  Dinah Shelton - age 24;   Opheldia J Shelton - age 6 (Felts) (Feldie), ( Feldin) ;   Emma Shelton - age 4;  Sallie L Shelton - age 2;   

I thought this would help, since you were trying to find her parents. I had this but forgot that I did; if you need any other help please let me know. Nancy

I went back to Ancestry.com and to see what else I could find and I noticed that when I put her name in well I did find the 1880 Census Of John L Shelton and his wife and children. But however no birth record ever came up of any of the children. But a death record did and on it, it stated that Offelda Jane Haze died 1926 in Grainger co. Tennessee. But it also stated that her parents were John L Shelton and Catherine Herron. And that was also with her siblings. But i did not come across any birth record of any family members. I don't know how you can determined her birth without a birth record but the census records gives you an age and where she was born which I believe was Indiana. I will try another site but I don't know if I can bring it up but I will try and I will let you know. Nancy
