Solomon Johannes Potgieter was my late husband's grandfather. He was born +/- 1880 in the Cape (possibly East London) and died on 31/03/1939 aged 59. He was married to Sarah Johanna du Preez and they had 4 daughters, all of them born in East London. They moved from the Cape to Johannesburg in late 1920's. My mother-in law was the 3rd daughter Johanna Magdalena Potgieter born 23/11/1916.
