Your Samuel might have been the son of Jonathan.  Jonathan was a Revo War sergeant:

Did your Samuel marry Johanna Draper?

Hope this helps!

I thank you so-so-so very much for all the information on Samuel Harnden- I also was able to secure on Sally Buck in a line straight back to my grand-mother. I have a lot of research from you that will take me time but can't wait to get started. Again, thanks for all your help.

You are most welcome!  Perhaps you will want to join the Daughters of the American Revolution, or at least use their fabulous genealogy library across from the White House in Washington DC.  The address is 1776 D Street NW.  I love that 1776 address.

I can help if you are interested in finding a DAR Chapter in your area to visit.

Samuel Harnden, Sr. was the father of my grandmother, Genevieve (Jennie) Harnden's father, Samuel.   They are both buried in St. Patrick's cemetary in Lowell, Massachusetts.  Samuel and his wife had 13 children.
